About the Artist
Jessica N. VandeLeest

Born in Racine, WI, Jessica has always had a love for
art.  She took her 1st Metals and Jewelry class at age
13.  Throughout High School, Jessica experimented
making chain and wire work.  In 2001 Jessica
enrolled at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater.  
Working closely with Professor Karen-Sam Norgard,
she found a love of beads and all their possibilities.  
In May 2008 Jessica received a Bachelor of Art and
Art History Minor.
While Jessica enjoys making more sculptural non-wearable works of art, she
makes many special occasion pieces such as tiaras, earrings, necklaces and
bracelets.

Techniques; Bead stringing, French beaded flowers, chain making, bead
embellishing, beaded cabochons and many more.

Materials of Choice; Sterling silver wire, Swarovski Crystal and pearls.

Influences; Laura McCabe, Karen-Sam Norgard and Pamela Williams.

What is J-eNVy?

Simply put, when the title is pronounced it is Jessica's initials (JNV).  A play
on letters, if you will.
